Ric Simmons, 53 of Centennial passed away December 23, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Brenda of the home. Parents Jim & Jo Simmons of Phoenix, Arizona. Three brothers Tim (DeeAnne) of Eagle, Idaho; Mike (Jodi) of West Jordan, Utah and David of Phoenix, Arizona. Six children Angel Simmons, Shane Simmons, Brandon Brennan, Katie Brennan, Kyle Brennan and Greg Brennan. Three grandchildren Tierra Mace, Jaysin Simmons, Chandler Simmons and many nieces and nephews. Ric was born at Mountain Home, Idaho. Throughout his life he lived in many different cities in the states of Idaho, Arizona, Utah and Colorado. Ric retired from Qwest Communications in 2001, after 30 years of service and at the time of his retirement was Director of Central Office Operations for the states of Idaho, Montana, Utah, & Wyoming. Currently, Ric was President/CEO of Lifevest Publishing, Inc. of Centennial. Throughout Ric's life he had many interests, hobbies and passions. He was a volunteer firefighter, hang glider, outdoorsman, and sports enthusiast. As an avid sailor he felt most at home on the water. Ric was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and involved in many organizations including Knights of Columbus (4th Degree), Marked Men for Christ, board member for Jesus Our Hope Hermitage, Elks and numerous church groups & committees. Ric touched many lives in a most positive way through his ministries. Ric was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He took great pride in his wife and children and being involved in their lives. Visitation will be Sunday, December 30 from 4PM to 7PM at the Horan & McConaty Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 7PM. Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Frances Cabrini, Monday, December 31 at 10:30AM with burial services at 2:30PM at St. Simeon Catholic Cemetery in Aurora. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Brenda Simmons for contribution to the many charities that Ric supported.
