Harold "Bud " Taggart

January 16, 1927 — March 18, 2021

Harold E “Bud” Taggart passed away at the age of 94 peacefully at his home in Denver, Colorado.

He was born in Madison Kansas, and was the son of Lucille and Gideon Taggart.

He was the middle of three brothers, Junior being the oldest and Jim being the baby. Junior referred to him as "his little buddy" and his nickname "Bud" stuck with him for the rest of his life.

He later moved to Denver, Colorado and attended Denver University where he met his beloved wife of nearly 71 years, Marjorie.

He continued his education at Colorado University and graduated with an electronic engineering degree.

He was a veteran of the navy and in 1956 he joined the National Institute of Standards and Technology (National Bureau of Standards).

He was also a member at many professional societies, as well as a member at the Elk Club and Masonic Lodge.

He published several articles in the electronic measurement field and received many awards for his accomplishments.

He was a man of many talents and enjoyed traveling the world with his family.

He is survived by his wife Marjorie; brother Jim Taggart; son Tim Taggart and wife Janet; daughter Tammy May and husband Dave; grandson Chris Taggart and wife Sudy Jahangiri and their three children, Cameron, Alexandra, and Roxanna; grandson Matthew Taggart; granddaughter Victoria Taggart.
