Harold Eugene ""Gene"" Brown, MSgt., USAF, Ret.

Harold Eugene Brown ""Gene"", of Arvada, Colorado, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2015 at the age of 80. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on September 27, 1934. He graduated from Mechanicsburg High School and soon after joined the United States Air Force. He served for 22 years and retired as Master Sergeant and retired again after 20 years as a teacher with the Boulder Valley School District. Gene earned a Bachelors and Masters Degree from Colorado State University and was five credits short of a PhD degree. Gene was an avid sports enthusiast, and worked for the Avalanche, Nuggets and Rockies organizations for 18 years. But his heart was always with the Denver Broncos. Gene was a dedicated democrat, had a wonderful dry sense of humor, and was a gentle and loving soul who was loved by many. He truly enjoyed traveling with his wife and family and left his entire family with wonderful memories. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rose Marie Cusimano Brown; five children, Susan Rutan, Anna Morgan (Gregory), Timothy Brown, Gena Weir (Patrick), Jeff Brown (Nikki Jo); nine grandchildren, Chad Rutan (Rebecca), Jacob Morgan, Benjamin Morgan, Keegan Brown, Mason Brown, Jillian Weir, Marissa Weir, Addeleine Jo Brown, Sammy Brown; and two great grandchildren, Chase Rutan and Rylee Rutan. Recitation of the Rosary will be Wednesday, February 4, 2015, 7:00 PM with Funeral Mass and Full Military Honors being celebrated Thursday, February 5, 2015, 10 AM, both at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 12735 West 58th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado.
