TORGAN, HAROLD D. Prominent Denver attorney, Harold D. Torgan was born 1914 in Alberta, Canada. He graduated from the University of Manitoba law school and became a member of the Colorado Bar Association in 1938. Well known for community service, he was a member of the downtown Denver Lions club 58 years, and served as President from 1976-77. He served on the board of the Salvation Army 30 years and was chairman in 1965. He also served on the board and was president of Booth Memorial Hospital and the President's Round Table in 1981. Additionally he was on the board of the Leukemia Society, Denver Bar Association and Colorado Bar Association. He married Grace McGuinness in 1958 and they have two daughters, Dr. Carol E. Torgan of Bethesda, MD and Diane Umbreit of Fort Collins, CO, as well as son-in-law Eric Umbreit and grandsons Scott and Mark Umbreit. He is also survived by children John Torgan of Phoenix, AZ and Suzanne Weston of Parker, CO. Memorial Service, Wednesday, 3:00 pm, University Park United Methodist Church, 2180 S.
