Harrison Douglas Moses McIntyre, 30, passed away on December 25, 2021. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Douglas and Irene Paules, and his grandfather, John McIntyre. Harrison will be lovingly honored by his grandmother, Dolores; his parents, Ruth and Donald; his sisters, Heidi (Craig) and Kaitlin; and his nephews, Jackson and Liam; as well as his extended family and friends.
Born on May 10, 1991, in Montreal, Canada, where he spent his early childhood, Harrison lived and had his early schooling in Denmark and France before settling in the United States as a teenager, where he graduated from New Canaan High School in 2008. After moving to Denver as an adult, he graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor of Communications in May 2021.
Everyone who encountered Harrison knew him as a caring and kind person and a great source of positivity for family, friends, and teammates. He had an immense passion for hockey, both as a goalie and a fan, as well as for music, photography, and hiking. He recently set his mind to improving his fitness, and in August 2021, he completed his first marathon in Boulder, Colorado in four hours – a personal goal that he worked very hard to achieve.
One of his writings perfectly sums up how he felt about life: “The idea of 7.5 billion of us existing at once is the most beautiful thought I can think of. Billions of lives around the world all connected as one.”
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Harrison McIntyre to the National Alliance on Mental Illness: https://donate.nami.org/give/197406/#!/donation/checkout?utm_source=globalNav&utm_medium=website&utm_campaign=DonationTracking&c_src=WEBDG .
