Harshad Chandubhai Patel was born on 10th May 1954 to Chandubhai and Charumati Patel in Masaka - Uganda. Harshad was one of 6 siblings raised between India and Africa then having settled in the USA.
Having been separated from his parents and sibling due to unforeseen circumstances, he had spent much of his life on his own yet strived to do the best he could.
In his early years Harshad enjoyed living life spontaneously and on a few occasions travelled to other parts of India on his own exploring the Indian culture and vibrancy. He was an independent, strong, fierce character who never depended on anyone. Even through his struggles and hardships that he faced, he was one of the most positive, courageous and smiling characters you could come across. He had a keen passion for playing musical instruments especially his mouth organ and singing which brought joy to many around him.
To reflect on his life, although he faced much hardship and adversity, he always remained immensely strong and positive with a smile on his face whenever we spoke to him regardless of what he was going through. He would always put others happiness before his, would help a stranger with his last penny and had the most loving and caring heart.
He sadly lost his life on 26th December 2021. We hope he is now reunited with his parents and at divine peace. He was a much-loved son, brother, husband, father & uncle who will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
Here is a video of his life:
