Harvey Lynn Goolsby, Jr.

Harvey Lynn Goolsby, Jr. was born January 16, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA to Harvey and Nancy Goolsby. He was the second child of eight children. Harvey joined the United States Air Force after he graduated from High School. He retired in 1981 after 20 years of service, having earned three Purple Hearts. He then graduated from Southern Illinois University. Harvey and his wife Melvie (Jean) moved to Wichita, KS after retirement where he worked for Cessna Air Craft then he moved on to other jobs in Aviation. He and his family moved to Aurora, CO in 1990 where he landed a job with United Airlines where he retired in March 2010. Harvey is preceded in death by his parents and sister Sylvia. He left behind to cherish his memories his wife Melvie (Jean); two daughters Cynthia (Paul) Cash and Marsha Atkinson; two grandsons Daniel Atkinson and Avery Cash; three brothers James (Iris) Goolsby of Norfolk, VA, Harold (Robin) Goolsby of Lithona, GA. Darryl Goolsby of Pittsburgh, PA; three sisters Harriet Johnson, Darlene (Ruben) Collins, Catherine Bebee, all of Pittsburgh, PA.
