Hayley Emma Rhee

Hayley Emma Rhee, age 13 years old, of Castle Rock, CO passed away the 4th of July, 2017 at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Hayley was born on September 21, 2003 in Denver, CO to Joseph Rhee and Patricia Rhee. From an early age, Hayley was a voracious reader and could often be found with book in hand. Her love of reading grew into a love of writing. She had a heart for animals and was a committed vegetarian. Hayley’s passion for music developed into playing the guitar. She was a creative, independent learner of all things that interested her, fully immersing herself in those worlds. Most importantly, Hayley was kind, compassionate, and thoughtful to those who were fortunate enough to love her or be loved by her. She was a devoted daughter; loving and doting older sister; precious granddaughter; and beloved niece. She was treasured by her entire family. Hayley is survived by her parents, Joseph and Patricia; her brother, Emmett; and sister, Sophie. She is also survived by: her maternal grandfather, Chong Piong Rhee; maternal grandmother, Kyung Soon Rhee; aunts, Silvia Rhee and Amy Rhee; and uncle, Egan Kim; and her dogs, Romeo, Juliet, and Hamlet. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm. Visitation will also be held on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm. After which will be the Funeral Service from 5:00 - 6:30 pm. Reception will follow. All services will be at Horan and McConaty, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122.
