Heather Jordan

Heather Jordan, a beautiful soul, enriched the lives of her family, friends and anyone who had the opportunity to know her. Heather's wit went typically unmatched. She had a keen sense for reading people and making sure you were being true to yourself. If you were not, Heather did not hesitate to bring this to your attention all while being the first to help you regain a sense of identity and purpose. She believed actions spoke louder than words and would be the first to stand-up and take that first step.
Heather spent many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and through grit and determination completed schooling and her goal to become a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (CODA). Heather's love for horses grew stronger and she was becoming closer to her goal of owning one. She was spending time learning and preparing to use Equine (Horse) Therapy to help individuals gain emotional, mental and physical strength. One of the horses she rode and helped take care of, Rio, visited her during her last days in Hospice.

Heather had a unique and special bond with each of her children, one that can only be truly understood by them. She received strength from them just as much as they did from her. Her growing number of grandchildren over the past several years provided a new level of love and enjoyment in her life. Above and beyond her children so many called Heather, ""Mom."" Heather was grounding for them. She provided many a sense of security and love that some did not have. Countless days and nights were spent in her house and on the porch talking, crying, and laughing.

After several years of building a life together, Heather and Bob married in 2011. Together they have a son, who loves his Mom dearly and has shown such great compassion and strength. Throughout their journey Heather and Bob remained diligent and focused in obtaining their goals. One by one, year by year, checking them off together. Bob's unwavering support and love for Heather shone bright the last 14 months as he stood by her as the primary caregiver. A special chapter of love in both of their books, sealed by a kiss during Heather's last hours.

Heather and her Sissy have a connection that runs deeper than most siblings you will ever meet. Heather and her Mom have remained close through thick and thin. Heather been there for her Mom as much as her Mom has been for her. Heather was a loving Aunt to her nieces and many other children who have held a light in her eye.

Heather was proof that no matter what challenge you faced in life you could overcome it, situations do change if you allow them to and work hard. She instilled in anyone who got to know her a mentality where it is okay to make mistakes but to try again, a sense of being humble in good times and to persevere.
