Heather Choate Schultz, age 54, passed away at Parker Adventist Hospital on December 11, 2021. Heather was born on March 23, 1967 to Harold Jay Choate and Beverly Diane Choate (Butler).
Heather is survived by her father Harold Jay Choate, her husband John Joseph Schultz, her children Taylor Williamson Schultz and his wife Tara Nicole, Alexander Russell Schultz and Mason Andrew Schultz, her grandchild Tinsley Layne Schultz, her siblings David Anthony Choate, Paul Norman Choate, Deborah "Robyn" Shegda and Jennifer Dickinson. She is pre-deceased by her mother Beverly Diane Choate (Butler).
Heather was an amazing high school athlete, a part of two of Evergreen High School’s 8 straight Colorado High School Volleyball Championships. She was a varsity Volleyball player for three seasons at Michigan Technological University in Houghton Michigan. Heather was an incredibly talented engineer who specialized in HVAC and Building Automation for Hospitals and Research Laboratory buildings throughout the Denver Metro Area as well as St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. Her passion was raising her three beautiful sons and being their loudest cheerleader for all of children’s athletic and scholastic endeavors. Heather was married to John at the beautiful Beaver Creek Chapel where the family enjoyed many wonderful vacation experiences. She loved travel with her family to Hawaii, Lake Michigan, San Diego, Ocean City New Jersey, as well as loving to visit National Parks including Rocky Mountain, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia, Arches, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Porcupine Mountain, Isle Royale. She was employed as an Engineer at Landis & Gyr Powers and Siemens Building Technologies with 33 years of service.
