Helen Marie Brockman

May 28, 1927 — August 19, 2011

Helen Brockman (aka., Gracie, Holly, Diamond Lil) was born May 28, 1927 to Anna & Carl Leonard in Denver, CO at St Joseph's Hospital and lived in Denver her entire life. Helen had four siblings; Richard and Betty Jean who both died during their early childhood along with a surviving brother Thomas (wife Jody) and sister Barbara Parker (husband Chuck Sr. '"" deceased). Helen met Jack the love of her life, while attending St Francis High School and they subsequently married in 1945. Helen worked at the ""Creamery"" while Jack was in the Navy, and then started their family by adopting Steve and Dianne. Helen began a career selling real estate while Jack worked and also attending law school. She sold Real Estate for 40 years and was loved and respected by many business associates and enjoyed numerous business trips with her Realtor friends. Family and friends were very important to Jack & Helen as they hosted many parties at their house, the pool and the cabin, as they never minded who came over just as long as they did come over. They loved their family and friends, and enjoyed taking many vacations. Helen and Jack were married over 60 years until Jack passed away in 2006. Helen loved to play the slots and went to Black Hawk many times until this year, trying to win the big one. Helen was a loving sister, wife, mom, aunt, grandma, and great grandma, as she always had time for her entire family and liked to sprinkle them with gifts. She was lucky enough to have many family and friends visit her in her last 6 months, including the last few days. We will have a place in our hearts for her that we will always cherish forever.
