Helen Darrow

Helen Elizabeth 'Betty' Darrow passed away peacefully January 28th  2021, she had just turned 95.

She was the third child born to Helen E. and George McDonough on Jan. 9th 1926 in Cumberland Maryland. In May of 1946 she graduated at the top of her class at Frostburg State Teachers College in the state of Maryland. She also lived in Washington, DC, Atlanta, GA and Battle Creek, MI before moving to Evergreen, CO. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her church work and her bridge club. Most of all she loved camping in these beautiful mountains.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years William “Bill” James Darrow and a daughter Leslie Ann. She is survived by her Son Scott, daughters Susan and Lynn with their husbands Rick Converse and Alan Miller. She was also survived by three grandchildren Emma who is married to Dustin Ramey, Rachel married to Garret Iwata, and Hannah Darrow. Family meant everything to Betty and she meant everything to them. She will be dearly missed.

Due to current health conditions there will be a 'family only' graveside service this Friday, Feb. 12th. Instead of sending flowers, the family asks that for those fortunate enough to still have loved ones here, to call your folks, your children, and any close friends you may have and tell them you love them. Thanks Mom...you're the best.
