Helen M. Karst

Helen M. Karst, 93, passed away January 28, 2017 at the Leawood Assisted Living Home, Centennial, Colorado. Born and raised in Limon, Colorado, she is predeceased by her parents, Erma A. Mallory Greene, nee Burgess, and Harley W. Mallory, a sister, Margaret Ham, and her husband of 45 years, Ralph A. Karst, Col. Ret. Helen was a homemaker who traveled with her career army husband to several different assignments around the country and abroad. Helen was an avid golfer and a formidable bridge player. In her later years, Helen and Conrad ""Conny"" Sorvick enjoyed each other's companionship until his illness and death. Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Harnagel, of Golden, CO, Terry Courtright of Elbert, CO, Sheryl Doodeman of Cave Creek, AZ; 6 adult grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Services will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 1:00pm on February 24, Staging Area A.
