Born in Brooklyn, New York, Helen grew up in New York and New Jersey, and built a life in Colorado after briefly living in Arizona, Georgia, Virginia, and California. She later moved to Washington and Minnesota to be with her daughters and granddaughter. She was fortunate to have two great loves in her life. She married her soulmate Andrew in 1938. They shared an incredible life together, including the births of their two daughters, until his untimely passing. She married Arthur in 1976 and shared many adventures and an expanded family until he peacefully passed in 2005. She entered the workforce in 1964, employed by Target Corp., managing cosmetics in the Denver store, and took on new roles as the company changed over the years. She loved her work and the friendships that she built. Helen also was a caretaker, providing her parents and uncle with a loving home and elder care, demonstrating unwavering commitment and selfless love.

Helen's legacy is a lifetime of unconditional love and humor shared with family and friends, that were brought together over the dinner table. Her passion for entertaining and cooking were the soul of this family, with a rich Ukrainian heritage, creating traditions for years to come. She lived life on the go, traveling and experiencing new cultures with a trunk full of postcards and photos that tell amazing stories. She enjoyed trying new restaurants and cuisine. She sang in the Rocky Mountain Singers choir and enjoyed musical theatre. She loved road-trips across the United States, and traveled well into her 90's. Yet, the Colorado Rockies held a special place in her heart and is her final resting place.

The family would like to express our gratitude to the team at St. Therese at Oxbow Lake in Minnesota for their compassion and respectful care of our mother and grandmother over the last year.
