Helen Bernice Temmer, age 80, passed away at her home in Denver, Colorado on Monday, July 11, 2016. She was born on June 27, 1936 and remained a Denver native her entire life. Helen was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Gertrude Leonard. During her final journey she was surrounded by loving family members, and friends, and enveloped in love, light and warmth. Helen attended St. John's Grade School, St. Joseph's High School and Barnes Business College. She enjoyed traveling, baking and spending time at her beautiful mountain property near Grand Lake. Her passion was anything that involved chocolate. She was a true believer in starting with dessert, as it made life far much more enjoyable. Helen blessed her family and friends with her quick wit, her contagious laughter, her radiant smile and the unconditional love that she showered on everyone. Helen's whole world was wrapped around her family and friends. She succeeded in being the greatest mom and grandma one could ever dream of. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Larry Temmer; her daughter, Paulette Tyson (Adrian); her stepchildren, Julie Ann Deguelle, and Craig Temmer (Susan); her Grandchildren, Jake Houghton, Nicole Houghton, Amber Dirkes and Christian Temmer; her Great Grandchildren, Marianna Houghton, Anastazja Martinez, and Taylor Dirkes; her Brother, Paul J. Leonard, Jr.(Ellen); and many other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Governor's Ranch Home Owners Association Clubhouse, 9050 W Prentice Ave, Littleton, Colorado, 80123.
