Henrietta A. Dwyer

September 26, 1934 — June 26, 2017

Henrietta ""Donna"" Morrato Dwyer 82, of Denver was born 9/26/34. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack H. Dwyer, her parents Louis F. Morrato and Evelina DeSimone Morrato and brother Francis J. Morrato and his wife Mary Lee. She is survived by her children Donna Stern (Gary), Paul Dwyer (Penny), Annie Dwyer (Jerry), her grandchildren James and Becca and many nieces and nephews. She passed away peacefully on 6/26/17. She spent her entire 82 years at her home on Milwaukee St. in her cherished Congress Park neighborhood. A graduate of Catholic schools (St. Philomena's, St. Francis De Salles High School and Loretto Heights College) she was one of the 1st lay assistant principals in the Catholic archdiocese in the metro area at Cure d'Ars Grade School. She made sure her children had a Catholic education (yes, you may remember her and Dad in charge of Bingo on Saturday nights) and when her children became involved in theatre (Original Scene, CYS) she became box office manager, surrogate Mom to many children and never missed an opening night or closing performance. ""Mrs. D."" had an open door and heart to all of her children's friends. She found her next passion late in life becoming part of King Soopers ""original"" tele-shopping family. She was able to live her last years with love and support from her family, friends, nieces, nephews and amazing care givers, including the phenomenal staff at Denver Hospice. The Dwyer family is blessed to have Matthew, Chris, Nicholas and Lizzie Campbell as our guardian angels. And to Traci Keske, Les LaBuy and Jill Jenkins you will always be in our hearts for your love and care of our Mother. Visitation Monday 7/10, 5:00-7:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, 7/11, 10:30 a.m. Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 2200 S. Harrison St. Entombment, Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if you would make a donation in her name to ""Father Woody's Haven of Hope"", 1101 W. 7th Ave. Denver, C0 80204. Please share memories and condolences with the family in the Guestbook.
