Henry Daniel Casey, born 13 July 1926 in Norton, Kansas, died 11 December 2008 in Lakewood, Colorado. Mr. Casey attended grade school and high school (class of '44) in Norton, Kansas. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in March 1944 and was sent to Keesler Field in Mississippi. In 1945, he was sent to Lowry Field in Colorado to be a bombsite and autopilot repairman. He was honorably discharged in October 1946. He returned to Norton, Kansas to work on a pipeline for Kansas - Nebraska National Gas Company. Mr. Casey graduated in 1951 from St. Benedict's College in Atchison, Kansas, majoring in English and minoring in Education. Mr. Casey married Mary Theresa Campbell on December 27, 1952 in St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri. They lived in Kansas City, Missouri until 1955, at which time they moved to their home in Denver, Colorado. He worked for Union Carbide, The Glen L. Martin Company, State Farm Insurance, The City and County of Denver (where he was Chief Buyer) and he retired from Jefferson County Schools as Director of Pur- chasing in 1991. Mr. Casey was active in the US Coast Guard Reserve from 1963 to 1986, retiring as a Captain. His interests included golfing, hunting, reading, and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Mr. Casey is survived by his wife, Mary T. Casey; children: Mary Kathleen (Ben) Longoria, Brian Daniel (Ruthie) Casey, Dennis Montague (Twylla) Casey, Theresa Anne Casey; grandchildren: Ben (Kelly) Longoria, Daniel Casey, Erin Casey, David Longoria, Andrew Casey, Patrick Casey, Matthew Casey; great grandchild Christian Ramirez; sister Mary Knutson; nieces: Mary Ann Knutson, Amy (Brian) Goyette; great nieces: Taylor Goyette, Reagan Goyette, Bailey Goyette; great nephew Levi Goyette; and dear friend, Norman Walter. Sheridan Blvd. Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Reception at Notre Dame Catholic Church following interment.
