Henry Lee Hudson was born Sept. 3, 1928 into a farm family of 3 children. His brother, John, preceded him in death; and his sister Arlene, lives in Olathe, Colorado with her husband, Clyde. They have 5 children. Henry worked hard as a youngster and when he was 17 years old, he started working for Loretto Heights College - an all girls school (high school and college) run by the Sisters of Loretto ln Denver. He was hired to drive a school bus throughout the Denver area, picking up students -- among other things. When Henry was 22 in 1950, he met Carol who was 20. They married that year. He then served with the United States Army in Korea where he was with the First Cavalry Division. He was also in Japan for a time. When Henry returned home from Korea, he again worked for Loretto Heights. He eventually became superintendent of buildings and grounds - a position he held for many years. He worked for the College for well over 55 years. He and his family lived on campus. He loved Loretto Heights. Henry and Carol had 3 children, Debbie, Vickie and Scott; and 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Marcus - the joy of their lives. Debbie married Les Melsen, and Vickie married Gary Hoover. Debbie and family live in Littleton, CO. Vickie and Gary live in Woodland Hills, CA. Henry and Carol enjoyed many things with their children while they were growing up including snow skiing in the winter and water skiing in the summer. Henry will be greatly missed by family and friends.
