In memory to Henry W, Topping. Henry was a loving spouse, father, grandfather, and brother.
Henry or Hank as he was known to his friends, was born in the small town of Raton New Mexico, July 16, 1948. He was the first born to Henry and Margaret. He spent his childhood in the metro Denver area. A graduate of Bear Creek High School in 1966. Joined the Air Force in 1969, and served overseas at Tuy Hoa Air Base Vietnam 69-70. Came back to the States, and worked as a soil engineer for many years. Before moving on to the construction industry where he built houses all over America. He loved his work, and loved to build things the right way. Friends, and family were always impressed by his work ethic, knowledge, and generosity. Henry enjoyed good whiskey! He would never turn down a meal of beans and hot green chili.
Alice his spouse was the love of his life. He cherished his time spent with her. He loved to travel and show her interesting places. He had told her quickly that he was in love with her. He told her he had been searching for her for 50 years. He wanted to marry and spend the rest of his life with her.
Jesse his son was someone whom he could share stories of work and life with. Always someone who supported him through the good and bad of life. They shared a love for the outdoors. One of Henry's favorite sayings while giving gifts was, "here's a little jingle for your pocket".
Jacob his grandson was someone he was proud to help, and offer words of wisdom to. They both shared a passion for dressing nicely. He taught Jake about generosity, and what it meant to be a man.
Henry was a big brother to Darlene or as he would call her Sister Sue. He always looked out for her, helping out in anyway he could. His love of her family (Mike, Marlaina, Mikey, and Michelle) was always present. They shared many of the same interests. Most of all good times, good food and many laughs.
Henry was preceded into the house of the lord by his father Henry Sr.; mother Margaret; five siblings who died at childbirth.
