Herbert Graham Allen

August 14, 1930 — April 2, 2025

Denver

Herbert G. Allen, a deeply loved and respected husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away on April 2, 2025 in Denver, Colorado at the age of 94. Education was one of Herb’s proudest pursuits, receiving a Bachelors Degree from Yale University and a Masters in Accounting from the University of Denver. He ran his own CPA firm for over 20+ years in Frisco, Colorado. After visiting Baehrden Lodge, built by his uncle in 1927 and now a part of Pine Valley Ranch Park in Pine Valley, Colorado, Herb fell in love with the state and spent the best years of his adult life here. He was an avid hiker, outdoor adventurer, and skier with one of the first lifetime passes to Copper Mountain.

A Rotarian, dedicated board member, and volunteer, Herb believed in giving back to his community and always fostered strong convictions about serving the greater good.

Herb is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Judy Allen; three children and their spouses; Jennifer and Joe Gilden, Matthew Allen and Shelley Cole-Allen, and Stephanie and Frank Albert; his five grandchildren and their spouses; Brianna Albert, Jessica and Dan Gorman, Kayla and Branon Frederick, Sarah and Marissa Allen; as well as step-grandchildren; Josh, Jake, and Jed Gilden, and Chris Albert; and six great grandchildren; Jenna Albert, Chase and Peyton Gorman, Cayden Frederick, Tayvin Mason and Everly Frederick. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jeffrey Allen.

He will be remembered for his ferocious appetite for reading, unmatched Bloody Mary’s, unexpected humor, and the love he carried for his family. He will be deeply missed.
