Herbert Thomas Williams, D.D.S.

Herbert Thomas Williams September 24, 1921 – April 7, 2012 Herb is a descendent of a pioneer Colorado family. His paternal grandparents migrated to America from Wales and settled in Leadville about 1870. His father was born in Leadville in 1885. His maternal grandparents came to America from Ireland and settled in Leadville also about 1870. His mother was born in Leadville in 1890. Herb was born in the same house where his mother was born. He is preceded in death by his seven sisters and one brother. He attended grade and high school in Leadville. Bachelor of Science - - University of Nebraska D.D.S. - - University of Nebraska, College of Dentistry Married Lenore Jeanne Beck in Lincoln, Nebraska on November 27, 1944. They had two children, Gregg Lewis Jacob Williams and Lynn Anne Saunders. Herb was a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Army Medical Corp. for 3 ½ years. He served in the U.S. Public Health Service for 2 years. He practiced Dentistry in Lincoln from 1947-1949 and in Denver from 1949- 1984. He was a Life Member of the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society, The Colorado Dental Association, The American Dental Association and the Colorado Prosthodontic Society. He is preceded in death by his wonderful son Gregg Lewis Jacob Williams. He is survived by his wife Lenore and daughter Lynn Anne Saunders. His grandchildren Ryan Williams and his wife Lori, Lindsey Williams, Laura Saunders and Luke Saunders. His great-grandchildren Lillie Williams and Mary Williams. Daughter-in-law Karen Williams and son-in-law John Faytinger. He was a wonderful man, dentist, and friend. Memorial Service, Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 1pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (one block west of South Holly Street) in Centennial, Colorado. A reception will follow.
