Herbert Earl Ross, 85, of Livermore, passed away at Elms Haven Care and Rehab, Thornton, CO on July 9, 2012. He was the son of Herbert and Caroline (Van DeBurg) Ross born October 3, 1926 in Midland Park, New Jersey. Herb served in the army in WWII from January, 1945 to November, 1946. He began work as a draftsman during service and received his degree in architecture following the war. His architectural work was varied including both residential and commercial. Upon retirement, he built a home in Glacier View Meadows where he spent many days outside enjoying the nature and beauty there. The family dogs and horses were his constant companions. Herb loved volunteering at Livermore Elementary School and participating in Mountain Productions little theatre. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kimberley Griffee, children, Eric Ross (Noemi), New York, NY, Christine (Bud) Cavanna, Germany, Mia (Paul) Garneau, Westminster, CO, Michael Ross, CA, Joni Jo Ross, Denver, CO, Shawn Ross, Richard Ross, and one (Valorie) of whom preceded him in death. There are nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. A memorial service is planned for September.
