Herman E. Ruhl

June 23, 1923 — August 15, 2010

Herman passed away at his home on August 15, 2010. Herman was born in Brush, CO on May 23, 1924. He served with the 4th Marine Division in World War II. Herman was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds he received in action. Herman was employed with Public Service Co. of Colorado for forty years. He is survived by his wife Carolyn, daughter Linda Weiss of Las Vegas, NV, son Gary Ruhl (Sue) of Arvada; three grandchildren, Kimberly Stahl, Kelly Crenshaw and Kip Ruhl; two great-grandchildren, Drew Stahl and Brenley Crenshaw; two brothers, Albert Ruhl of Napa, CA and Milton Ruhl of Savannah, TN. Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Gottfried and Katie Ruhl, sister Helen Ruhl and brother Elmer Ruhl. A Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 19, 2010, with Funeral Services 11:00 AM Friday, August 20, 2010, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel located at 5303 East County Line Road,(One block to the west of Holly Street) Centennial, Colorado 80122. An Interment will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 1:15 PM on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2255 South Oneida Steet, Denver, Colorado 80224, or the National Kidney Foundation of Colorado, 3151 South Vaughn Way, Suite 505, Aurora, Colorado 80014.
