Schwab, Herman, Retired Salesman. Herman Schwab of Denver was born July 27, 1925 on a farm east of Brighton, Colorado and passed away June 14, 2007. He graduated from Brighton High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II in the 4th Marine Division. He was in four major battles. He was wounded on Saipan and Iwo Jima. He also served druing the Korean War. On June 10, 1945 he married his high school sweetheart, Ellenora L. Brown, while home on convalescence leave from Iwo Jima. He was a route salesman for Pepsi-Cola, and a route salesman and supervisor for Rainbo Bread Co. He retired in October 1991 after 34 years as a salesman and sales manager for Elcar Fence and Supply Co. in Denver. In his younger years he was active in church, school, and scouting activities. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. His wife Ellenora passed away May 3, 2002. He is survived by his children Ronald (Angela) Schwab, Denver, CO; Captain Richard (Mary) Schwab, U.S. Navy retired, Ledyard, CT; and Doralee (Daryl) Bell of Lincoln, NE. Grandchildren Callie (Brett) Rickerman, Durango, CO; Kelsey and Brian Schwab, Ledyard, CT; Hannah Bell, Lincoln, NE; Jane Breen, Denver, CO; great-granddaughter Savannah Richerman, Durango, CO; two brothers, three sisters and many nieces and nephews; and special friend Ruth E. Bushkovski of Denver, CO. Visitation will be Sunday, 1:00-5:00PM and Monday, 8:00AM-8:00PM. The funeral service will be June 19, 2007, at 10:00AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 4785 Elm Court, in Denver.
