Howard V. Martin, born April 24, 1922 in Steamboat Springs, CO. Passed into Eternal Life September 27, 2005. Proceeded in death by his wife Jane in 1986 and son Stephen in 1963. He and his surviving brother Gilbert enlisted in the Navy war effort in 1943, served in the South Pacific and he continued to serve in the US Naval reserve. Howard married Jane Dyer in 1950 and they raised their family in east Denver. He retired from Martin'""Marietta aerospace and the Navy in 1985. As a member of St. Philomena and Good Shepherd Catholic churches, Howard is survived by many close friends and neighbors. A lifelong gourmet, Howard always enjoyed dining with family and friends. An avid golfer, fisherman and traveler, Howard brought enthusiasm to all aspects of his life. In the early 90's he began a decade of volunteer service to The 9 Health Fair. He is survived by six sons, Phil (Cindi), Tom, Andrew, John (Stephanie), David, and Greg; grandchildren: Laura, Rick, Jeff, Ken (Colorado), Kaitlin, and Tyler (Florida); a niece, Nan (Frank) Norton of Phoenix; brother, Gilbert (Mary Jane) of Ottawa, KS, many relatives and friends. Viewing Tuesday 4-7 p.m. followed by a 7:00 p.m. Rosary, Horan McConaty, 1091 S.
