Howard “Peter” C. Judd Jr, age 90, of Denver, Colorado passed peacefully on September 3rd. Peter was born to Howard and Carolyn Judd in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Barbara, his sons, Peter (Kelly) and Ryan (Jena), his two grandchildren, his nieces Deborah and Holly, and his brother-in-law Dr. David Hayes.
Peter spent most of his younger years growing up in New Canaan, Connecticut with his sister, Bunny. He graduated from The Hotchkiss School, and then from Lehigh University. After his graduation from Lehigh, Peter proudly served in the US Air Force as a Co-Pilot in the Strategic Air Command, flying B-47’s during the Cold War. After his military service, Peter received an MBA degree from Columbia University in New York City.
He had a long, successful career in sales and marketing that had him traversing the country coast to coast, throughout the mid-west, and the Rocky Mountains. Peter held executive positions with notable Fortune 500 publishing companies throughout his career, and even in retirement, his drive kept him very active with various organizations.
Peter was deeply proud of his two boys, Peter and Ryan Judd. Peter followed his dad's love of advertising and became a creative director. Ryan followed dad's love of guitar and became an accomplished musician and music therapist.
After settling in Colorado, Peter married Barbara Berney. Together they looked forward to yearly fly fishing trips to the A Bar A Ranch in Wyoming, exploring the Rocky Mountains, traveling throughout the United States, visiting friends and family, going to CU games in Boulder, and cheering on the USC Trojans from afar. Peter even found the time to write a memoir so his grandkids could know the full story of their grandfather.
