Ian Craig Young, age 56, died peacefully in his home in Peyton, on May 10, 2023. He was born on August 29th, 1966 in Oakland California. Ian was a successful business owner, devoted family man, and a pillar in the Russian Orthodox community.
Ian is survived by his wife of 25 years, Tatjana, daughter Ashley and three stepchildren Hunter, Marko, and Alex. Mr. Young was preceded in death by his mother Susan and survived by his father hieromonk Ambrose, and two sisters Faith and Felicity. His legacy will live on through the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with. Ian was fiercely loyal to his childhood team the Raiders but even more devoted to his family and religion. He was quick to make a joke, but also quick to show support, love, and compassion to those in need.
Join us at St. Herman’s Orthodox Church at 991 W Prentice Ave for the viewing on Wednesday May 17th from 5 – 7 p.m., and on Thursday May 18th for the funeral service at 10 a.m. followed by a reception. The burial service will be at 2 p.m. the same day at Riverside cemetery located at 5201 Brighton Blvd.
