ice Kay Bartolina

Janice (Jan) Kay Bartolina, 72, passed away with her sons by her side at Porter Adventist Hospital on December 10th, 2019. The cause was Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.

She was born on August 24th, 1947 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jan lived in Bismarck and Grand Forks, North Dakota; Denver, Colorado Springs and Littleton, Colorado; and Jacksonville, Florida.

Survivors include her sons Sean and Ryan Hubbard, daughters-in-law Amanda Hubbard and Lauren Getsie, and her adoring grandchildren, Keenan and Xiola (Ryan and Amanda), and Maxwell and Lucy (Sean and Lauren). She was preceded in death by her parents Earnest and Kathryn Bartolina and her brother Earnest Bartolina Jr.

Jan loved spending time with children, traveling the world, and helping others in need, as evidenced by her career choices over the years that include stay at home mom, teachers' aid (at Dutch Creek Elementary), outtake specialist (at Stepping Stone), travel agent (at Uniglobe) and most recently, full time Grammy to her beloved grandchildren. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, travel, lounging at the beach whenever possible, spending time with friends and family, and Friday night dish sessions with her best friend and former college roommate, Sara.

Jan was a kind, non-judgmental, calming presence in the lives of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. A celebration of Jan's life will be held on January 4, 2020 beginning at 2:00 pm at Hudson Gardens (Located at 6115 S Santa Fe Dr, Littleton, CO 80120). All friends and family are welcome.
