Imogene Lorine Egger, age 89, died in Durango, Colorado on December 22, 2020. The cause of death was COVID19. Imogene was born on January 1, 1931 in Armel, Colorado. She moved to Denver, Colorado, at the age of 12 with her mother, Amy; father, William; and older brother Melvin. Imogene graduated from West High School in 1948. She married her high school sweetheart, Marvin Egger. She and Marvin adopted three children. She spent most of her adult life working alongside him, as the secretary, at their excavating business. Imogene was widowed in 2000, and she lived in Denver until 2012, when she moved to Durango, Colorado to be closer to her last living child, Linda, and her six grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her youngest daughter, Linda Marie Sanchez from Ignacio, Colorado; and six grandchildren: Darren Egger from Durango, Colorado and his two sons; Darren Paul and Jaxzen; Jade Patricia Egger and her three children; Carlos, Jaunquin, and Naima from Durango, Colorado; Donny and daughter Cypriana; Angel Cesar and his son Syre; and L.Tatiana Hovland; and Erika Hovland, Denver, Colorado. Nephews; John and David Holzwarth, and Niece Debra Holzwarth. Imogene was preceded in death by her beloved Marvin in 2000, her Brother Melvin, daughter Nancy, and son Michael Paul.
A private Funeral Mass will be held for Imogene, and she will be buried at Ft. Logan National Cemetery next to her beloved spouse, Marvin. The family is choosing to forego a graveside service at this time due to COVID19 protocol and restrictions limiting the number of mourners allowed to gather at this time.
