Ingeborg Sunde, 91, died at home in Centennial, Colorado among her family on July 21, 2020 due to natural causes.
Born September 9, 1928 in Frankfurt, Germany. Inge met Howard while he was in the US Air Force stationed in Frankfurt shortly after the end of World War II. They fell in love and were married in Frankfurt on December 1951. As Howard was active in the US Air Force, Inge had the privilege of living abroad and throughout the United States, setting up residence wherever Howard was stationed. From living briefly on the farm where Howard was raised in South Dakota, to Sioux City Iowa, to Dell Rio, Texas and the segregated south of Biloxi, Mississippi. Once Howard retired from active duty, they ultimately settled permanently in Centennial, Colorado. While stationed in Okinawa, Japan they adopted Julie from South Korea the very day the first man landed on the moon in 1969 and then adopted Elizabeth, also from South Korea 4 years later while they were stationed in Minot North Dakota in 1973. Inge was a loving mother and homemaker. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church and a devoted member of the local Chapter of TOPS where she kept her KOPS status for over 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Sunde residing in Centennial, Colorado, daughter and her spouse, Julie Jail and Max Jail residing in Manzanita, Oregon, and daughter and spouse, Elizabeth Sunde and Richard Garb residing in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Inge was preceded in death by her father, Peter Langen, her mother, Emilie Langen, and her brother, Gunther Langen and his wife, Irma Langen.
Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Horan and McConaty at 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, Colorado. Burial will be at 1:30pm at Fort Logan Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80235.
