Irene Makowski was an amazing person. She shared the same values as her late husband Frank Makowski and they made a perfect team. She dedicated her life to family, friends and faith, and always wanted to make life better for everyone by helping everyone in any way she could. Irene loved family events and hosted them with perfection. She was so much more than a mom, but a best friend to her children.
In her early years she reached out to the neighbors and friends to help them out. She styled the neighbors ladies hair, as they could not afford a hair dresser. She was a very good seamstress, something her dear mother taught her. She made draperies and window covers for many of the neighbors and friends, as back in those days' times were tough. She never expected to be compensated but merely wanted to help them out in any way she could. She loved to please everyone.
Irene was incredibly naturally talented and artistic. Her passion was home architectural design and interior decorating. Only after her children were in high school, and with the support from her husband, she pursued a ""later in life"" career. Without a college degree, she far outreached many of her competitors and built a successful career. She taught us that anything is possible if you are determined and love what you do, in every aspect of your life.
Irene is being reunited with her beloved husband, Frank and precious son, Larry, now under God's watch. Irene will be loved forever, missed so much and will always be in our hearts forever.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Lynette Makowski; grandchildren, Nichol Makowski-Mondragon (Jesse), Frank Makowski (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Jordan Makowski, Madison Makowski, and Jaxson Makowski; nephew, Ralph Freehling; niece, Barbara Haverkate.
