Irene Opal Murrow was born on March 28, 1917 on her parent's farm near North Branch, Kansas. She grew up in eastern Colorado near Yuma, Colorado. Irene moved to Denver to work when she was a young lady, where she met Dale Murrow, who became her husband. Irene was very creative, she helped design and build a house in the mountains which she and her family enjoyed for many years. She built doll houses for her grandchildren, she began painting (mostly landscapes) in her fifties, and she was a prolific seamstress, quilting and piecing quilt tops up to just four days before she passed away. Irene is survived by a son, Kenneth Murrow, and a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Thomas DeHerrera. In addition she left 8 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren and five, great-great grandchildren. Irene had a peaceful spirit. She will be sorely missed by her friends and family. Rest In Peace.
