Irene Barbara Ann Tracey

Irene Barbara Ann Tracey, 73, passed away December 5, 2004, in Littleton, Colorado. She was born October 29, 1931, in Wappingers Falls, NY to Anna Beahan and George Dick. Irene obtained a bachelors and masters degree in education at New York State University. She was already a world traveler and sailed on the Queen Mary during the 1950's. She taught middle school in Schenectady, New York. She married Tom Tracey on January 18, 1958 and soon moved to Colorado where she raised her family. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her husband, Thomas R.; three children, Tom (wife, Susan), Maggie, and Michael (wife, Jacqueline); four grandchildren, Ryan, 18; Kevin, 14; Liam, 3; Aidan, (expected in January, 2005). When she could, Irene continued to substitute teach in the Littleton Public School System and was involved in her community and church. She also played golf, bridge and was an avid gardener and traveler. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 9th, 11:00 AM, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 South Quebec Street, Centennial, CO. A Private Interment for the family will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. A reception for friends and family will be at 2:00 pm, at 6922 So. Adams Way, in Centennial.
