Irmgard Luetjen

Irmgard ""Lou"" Luetjen went to be with her heavenly Father on Mar 2, 2014. Lou lived in Las Vegas, NV for the past 16 years with her beloved husband of 57 years, Del. Lou and Del have 4 children - Rick, Patty, Mike (Tony) and Diana Harrop (Mike); and four grand children - Denise, Lee, Christopher and Ashley. Lou was born Dec 16, 1938 in Tetschen, on the Elbe, Sudetenland, Germany, and grew up in Dreieichenhain, Germany. She is survived by her brother Herbert Herzig (Heidrun) and her nephew Mike (Astrid). Lou was preceded in death by her parents Karl and Elizabeth Herzig and brother, Wolfgang. She was a successful businesswoman and had a 20 year career with Dependable Cleaners in Denver, CO. where she started as a manager and advanced to VP. She was honored by the Colorado Council on Working Women in 1982 for her outstanding accomplishment in her work, community commitment, and contribution toward improving conditions for working women. She was the first woman in her field to receive such a prestigious award. Lou traveled the world with her husband and children. She had a love for life and was always ready with a laugh. She enjoyed the time that she had later in life with her children and grandchildren. Lou will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Services will be hosted for the immediate family.
