Isabel Jean Riggs

Isabel Jean Riggs, 93, of Wheat Ridge, passed away on April 11, 2019 at Sandalwood Manor. She was born on November 17, 1925, daughter of John Thomas and Bertha (Matthews) Gay. Isabel married William Joseph Riggs on February 5, 1949 and together they shared 37 years of marriage. William passed away in 1986.

In addition to her family, Isabel's great joys in life were teaching 6,7 and 8- year old children in Sunday School and working with her husband and the church teenage youth group. She loved being outdoors and working in her perfectly maintained yard with dozens of glorious rose gardens.

She is survived by her children, Sandra Bowlin and her husband, Dale, Dennis K. Riggs, and Becky L. Skaggs, her grandchildren, Paula Lopez and her husband, Steve, and Hillary Breckel and her husband, Dustin, her great-grandchildren, Steven and Brenden Lopez.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 10:30am with a Visitation starting at 9:30am at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Lakewood, CO 80227, followed by burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Littleton.
