Isabelle Milliard

Isabelle Gertrude Milliard was 93 years young when she passed on March 6, 2022.

Isabelle was born to George and Noelie Tessier on June 14, 1928, in Woonsocket, RI. She graduated from St. Clare High School in May of 1945.  On May 30, 1951, she married Richard Milliard.  Soon after, Richard and Isabelle moved to Colorado with her parents and raised six children, three boys and three girls.  They lived in Denver, Cheyenne, Pueblo, Albuquerque, and Seattle over the next seventy years.  She worked in the purchasing department at King Soopers’ main office for twenty years.  Isabelle was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in the heart of North Denver for about fifty years, many of those as a member of the choir.  She loved music, played piano, and had the voice of an angel.  In 1993, she was a volunteer at World Youth Day and met Pope John Paul II.  Isabelle always enjoyed traveling and achieved her dreams to see New Zealand and all fifty states in her lifetime.

Isabelle is survived by five of her children:  Suzanne Milliard, Dianne Milliard, Daniel Milliard, Carol Park (Chris) and Tim Milliard, nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews, and countless dear friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard and son David and out lived most, if not all her contemporaries.

A celebration of Isabelle’s life will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4377 Utica Street, Denver, CO  80212 on Friday, March 25, 2022.  Rosary will start at 9:30 with the funeral Mass beginning at 10:00.  A luncheon will follow immediately after Mass in the parish hall.
