Isamaddin Rahaman

Isamaddin "Smiley" Rahaman, 81, passed away on January 30, 2025, in his home in Denver, Colorado. 

Born on July 3, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, Izzy lived a life marked by dedication and service. He proudly served in both the United States Army and Air Force for 24 years, demonstrating unwavering commitment to his country. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather. He was a source of wisdom, tough love, and a light in the dark for all that knew him.

Izzy is lovingly remembered by his children Sieadah, Sabine, Jose, Rahim, Joseph, Bobbie Jo, I'sha, Ismail, and many grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Abdul and Eloise. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at East Alameda Church of Christ, located at 13605 E. Alameda Ave., Aurora, CO 80012. Visitation will held at the church beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Following the service, a Graveside Service with Military Funeral Honors will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery (Staging Area B) at 4400 W Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO 80236, beginning at 1:30 pm. 

We will meet in "Staging Area B," which is best found by entering the cemetery through the funeral entrance, located off of Sheridan Blvd.
