Iva Iona Schnabel

Iva was born on December 3, 1920 in Trenton, Nebraska to Carl Eugene Steinke and Mary Alice Raymond. She passed away on June 15, 2012 at The Villas at Sunny Acres in Thornton, Colorado. Iva was 91 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Schnabel; two brothers, Eugene and Clyde Steinke; and two sisters, Lela Gillaspie and Pearl Daugherty. Iva is survived by her four sons, Herman, Noel, Larry and Gary; daughter, Stephanie Tillford. She had 15 grandchildren, two died in infancy. Out of the grandchildren, she was rewarded with 27 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. Iva was into children. She loves them all but the love of her life was her husband, Herman Schnabel. He had passed away in 1994 but she never forgot about him until the moment she passed. Iva also babysat for 30 years and has many families that treat her like grandma. She taught them to be good Christians and to follow Jesus' foot steps. Grandma Iva Schnabel will be missed by all of her family and some day we all hope to be with her and Grandpa Herm Schnabel in the Lord's Kingdom. She was surely the best mom we could ever have.
