Jack Vaughn Bown

Jack Vaughn Bown passed away Saturday, January 14, 2006. He was born in Fon du Lac, Wisconsin April 9, 1932. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Jack graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. In 1957 he was united in marriage to Bernice Hansen and had three children, Ann Marie Bown of Costa Mesa, CA, Barbara (James) Wyatt and Christopher Bown both of Denver, CO. He was the beloved grandfather of Veronica, Jessica and Dalton and the brother of Helen O'Connor of Denver and Howard Bown of Spokane, Washington. Jack moved his family to Denver in 1970 where he purchased Butler Rents. While under his direction, Butler Rents became the largest party rental business in the Rocky Mountain region. He was active in the American Rental Association and the Aurora Elks. Jack's gift to his family, friends and those he touched was his zest for life, his love and his generosity. Donations may be made to the 4 Mile Historic Park.
