Jack David Hegele

February 4, 1923 — August 28, 2007

An Officer and a Gentleman, Jack passed away August 28, 2007. He served his country through the United States Air Force in WWII, The Pentagon, Stateside service in Korea, England, Marin County, CA, the United States Air Force Academy, and Vietnam - where he received the Bronze Star. After his military career he served as a labor relations consultant at Rose Medical Center and the Colorado Hospital Association. He also served in many area medical committees and volunteered with the Denver Zoo, DIA Ambassador, 9 Health Fair, Rocky Mountain Arsenal, Aurora Public Defender's Commission, and Ft. Logan National Cemetery. He was an avid reader and lover of the great outdoors. Jack was preceded in death by his English Rose of 59 years, Alwyn, with whom he is now reunited. He is survived by his son, Michael, daughter, Gayle; granddaughter Keely and great-grandchildren Quinn and Seamus. Memorial Service Saturday, September 1st, 11 am at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. (at Parker Rd.). Memorial contributions are requested to the Denver Zoo, 2900 E. 23rd Ave., Denver, CO 80205.
