Jack Eugene Peregoy October 9, 1925 '"" September 23, 2009 Jack passed away on Tuesday morning, September 23, 2009 at Porters Adventist Hospital in south Denver. He had been diagnosed with lung cancer and was undergoing treatment. He grew up in Denver and graduated from South High School. After graduation, during WWII, he enlisted in the Merchant Marine and spent his service moving fuel from the western United States and Australia, to the western Pacific. After the war, he returned to Denver, and bought a filling station at 48th and Lowell in north Denver. He later sold that station bought a new station at 6th and Kalamath on the then western edge of Denver. After the arrival of Barb, he quit the automotive business, sold his filling station and began a long career with Prudential. During that time, Jim, Dave and Dan arrived. He retired in 1984, at age 58, and worked several odd jobs to keep busy before finally retiring in 1990. Mary and Jack enjoyed their motor home as they traveled all around the United States, as far away as Anchorage Alaska. They also traveled extensively to Australia, New Zealand, the Ukraine, Czechoslovakia, and Toronto, Ontario Jack is survived by: his wife of 61 years, Mary Rose; his daughter Barb Brown (Jim); his sons Jim (Marti), Dave (Carol), and Dan (Fred); his grandchildren Todd, Jacob, Tia (Jeremy), Amy, Nicholas, Kaci (Ryan), and Aurora; and his great grandchildren Talynn and Hunter.
