Jacklyn Susan Johnson

June 27, 1943 — March 21, 2013

Jacklyn (Jackie) Susan Johnson, June 27, 1943 died peacefully at her home in Lakewood, Colorado on March 21, 2013. She is survived by her sons Noel Johnson and Chris Johnson, daughter-in-law Laura Johnson, grandchildren Stephyn and Bayleigh Johnson, sister Diana Best and brother Fred DeFeo. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lucille DeFeo. Jackie grew up in Golden, Colorado and attended Golden High School. She married Robert Johnson in 1961 and they were blessed with their first son, Noel Robert later that year. In 1963, they were blessed with a second son, Christian Eric. They lived their married life in Lakewood Colorado, divorcing in 1986, where Jackie continued to live in Lakewood on her own. Jackie is remembered for her contagious laughter, excellent needlework and love of nature. Family meant everything to her and she was a caregiver to many, until later in life when her own health issues prevented her from being more active. She was a devoted believer in Jesus Christ and had a passion for the Bible. She was a generous giver, both to Christian ministries and as an animal advocate. She died peacefully in her home due to complications from diabetes. She will be terribly missed, but her integrity and giving nature will live on in those she inspired.
