Jacob (Jake) Augustin, 43, of Denver, died Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at his home in Denver, Colorado.
He was born on June 7, 1980, to Patty and Wayne Augustin in Denver.
Jake was a graduate of Alameda High School in Lakewood, Colorado where he grew up.
He married Megan Walker on October 25, 2008 and they had three sons, Walker (14), Atlee (11), and Tason (4).
He worked alongside his dad and brother in the family business, focusing on landscape design and installation until his family relocated to Missouri. While in Missouri he continued in the landscape industry. Upon returning home to Colorado he worked as an assistant superintendent for the Vertex Group.
Jake was an avid sports fanatic. He enjoyed coaching, participating in, cheering on his sons, and watching all sports. The Denver Broncos were always number one in Jake’s eye. He also enjoyed anything that involved family. Camping, boating, gatherings, and projects are just a few of the things he liked to do with his family.
Jake is survived by his wife of 15 years, Megan Augustin, and three sons, Walker (14), Atlee (11), and Tason (4); his grandmother Barbara Queen; his parents Wayne and Patty Augustin; his brother Josh (Melissa) Augustin and their children Ryleigh and Emersyn; his sister Kelli (Ryan) Eastwood their children Alexis, Taylor, and Kenzlee; his in-laws Becky (Chaz) Abarr; his brother in-law Jariah (Christine) Walker and their children Drake and Alayna; his brothers in-law Ian and Jasper Abarr. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Eddie Queen, Lenus Augustin, and Bennie and Luva Johnston; his aunts Betty Deden and Renee Johnston; his cousin Jeff McArdell.; his father in-law Ron Walker.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 10:00. The family encourages you to wear your favorite COLORADO sports attire. The celebration will take place at The Calvary Church (Golden) 1320 Arapahoe St, Golden, CO 80401 with Tim Phenna officiating. If you park in the garage, you do not need to register your vehicle or pay for parking. Enter the church on the 14th street side and make your way to the Great Hall.
