Jacque Hall was born April 29, 1952 in Colorado Springs. How does one summarize an amazing life lived by an amazing woman? Her interests and passions were broad. And as anyone who knew her will attest, she was always on the move.
From cruising through the Caribbean with her family, to cross country and rally rides on the Harley with her husband Bob, to her love for her dogs. And it did not stop there, she also made friends with all the squirrels, rabbits, and wild birds in the neighborhood.
She graduated from Palmer Highschool in 1970. She was actively involved in the school theatre building sets for the productions. She was also a member of the pep club and the debate team.
She loved all types of music and after high school she worked at a record store, one of her dream jobs. The next chapter took her to Mountain Bell phone company, which later became US West, then Century Link. She spent the rest of her career with the phone company and retired from Century Link.
In 1997, Jacque married Bob Ross. They were on a cruise in the Caribbean and decided after 8 years to get married. So, they tied the knot on Saint Thomas at Blue Beards Castle. They joked that they had a 3,000-person reception.
One of the most memorable events that Jacque and her husband Bob were know for was the annual Halloween Party. Everyone in their neighborhood looked forward to them and would start asking Jacque if she was going to put it on each year starting in July. She custom made her, Bob’s, and her daughter Kym’s costumes. She came up with unique games each year that people still talk about today.
When it came to travel, the list is long. But a few of these memorable locations she visited included over 30 Caribbean islands, the motorcycle rally in Sturgis, Mexico, Canada, and several US states.
Another passion of hers was genealogical research. She spent years working on tracing her family tree. Through her work she traced her lineage back to the American Revolution and was able to join The Daughters of the Revolution organization.
One of our fondest memories is her “power shopping” trips and how none of us could keep up with her.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, George and Genevieve Hall. She is survived by her husband Bob Ross, and her daughters Kym Clasen and Christie Ross.
She was loved by so many families and friends. Her spark will be missed.
