Jacqueline C. Gonzales, 92, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully January 9, 2017. She was born October 25, 1924 in Denver to Gio. Bartlolmeo and Mary Helen Gundy Camilli. Jacqueline's ancestors were from Central City and she was very proud of that pioneer heritage. She worked for Genuine Auto Parts in Denver for more than 30 years where she enjoyed working and where she made lifelong friends. Jacqueline was a Fantastic cook and loved preparing food, then gathering around her table with family and friends to eat, share stories and laugh. She was fun, energetic and creative. She knit Christmas stockings for many that have become a treasure as they are hung each holiday season. Jacqueline loved her family but her grandchildren had a special place in her heart. She was especially proud of raising two great-granddaughters, whom she taught, with many other women to be strong and independent. If you met Jacqueline, you became her friend. Jacqueline is survived by one daughter; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-granddaughters; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, parents and 6 siblings. In Jacqueline's later years, she met a dear friend, Skip, who became a cherished companion bringing her much joy and happiness. He has also preceded her in death. At Jacqueline's request, she will be cremated and no formal services will be held.
