Jacqueline Anne Weismann, 76, succumbed to a long battle with ovarian cancer at the Hospice of St. John in Lakewood, Colorado, in the early morning hours of Dec. 22, 2012. The second child of farmers Ralph and Bess Klopping of Underwood, Iowa, ""Jackie"" Klopping was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on August 18, 1936. She resided in Arvada, Colorado for 45 years, and previously resided in Fremont, Nebraska; Monmouth, Illinois; and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Jacqueline attended Dana College in Blair, Nebraska, where she met her future husband, Lee S. Weismann. After many years as a housewife and mother, she joined the workforce of the State of Colorado, where she was employed for more than 30 years. Jackie enjoyed travel, thrift shopping, murder mysteries, English culture, teapots, pie, and John Wayne. She adored her grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Lois Lawson, of Colville, Washington; her children: Brad, of Boulder, Colorado; Janis Miller, of Commerce City, Colorado; and Judy, of Lakewood, Colorado; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three nieces, several grand-nephews and grand-nieces; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial gathering in her honor is planned for Saturday, January 5, from 2 to 8 p.m. at her residence, 6102 Lewis Ct., Arvada. CO.
