Jacub Jabbar Hicks

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacub Hicks, beloved father, grandfather, brother, son and friend on September 14, 2024. Jacub was born on January 15, 1972 in Denver, Colorado to parents Delilah Hicks and Percy Albritton. 

Jacub will be remembered for his resilience, athleticism, and charm. He touched the lives of many with his warmth. He never met a stranger, always making friends wherever he went. He was a gifted multi-sport athlete, excelling in football, basketball, and baseball, earning numerous accolades for his remarkable skill and dedication on the field. His strength and towering stature made him a natural leader, both in sports and in life, admired by teammates and opponents alike. He was known for his love of storytelling and his ability to make others laugh, a true jokester. As a youth league football coach, he shared his passion for sports and positively impacted countless young athletes. He loved spending time with his family, embracing life’s adventures, and creating lasting memories. Jacub’s legacy will live on through his greatest pride and joy, his children and grandchildren.

Jacub is survived by his mom Delilah; children Mecaila, Darian, DeAndre, Jacobi, and Jaden; grandchildren Quincy, Ezekiel, Hazel, and Amelia; and brothers Marcus, Christopher, and Bobby. He also leaves behind his many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He will be deeply missed by all who were privileged to know him.

 A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 27th, 2024 at 12:30 p.m., at:
