James E Bruce

James Edward Bruce of Denver, Colorado passed away after a brief illness on September 8th, 2016. Jim was born in Mexico City, Mexico to Dolores Novoa Bruce and James H. Bruce on February 20th, 1938. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Mary Claire Harrington whom he married on August 18th, 1962. He was preceded in death by his parents and his bother Juan Bruce Novoa. He is survived by his sister Mary Peter Bruce, S.L. and Lillian Moskeland. Jim is also survived by his children, Robert J. Bruce (Rachel), Maggie Torres (Rob), Pat Mauser (Bill) and Michelle Irwin (Erick) and his seven grandchildren, Michael, Emily, Matthew, Kristen, Lauren, Heather and Katelyn. Recitation of the Rosary will be Monday evening, September 12th at 7:00pm at Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80246. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday morning, September 13th at 10:00am at Risen Christ Catholic Parish, 3060 S. Monaco Parkway, Denver, CO. Reception immediately following Mass. Private Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Retired Sisters of Loretto Fund, 4000 S.
