James R. Carden

Jim, 86, passed away May 30, 2010. Beloved husband of Carole S. Carden for 45 years; father of Cheryl L. (George) Racz and Grant W. Carden; father to Brenda J. Bigelow; grandfather of James R. Carden, III, Nick E. Carden, John D. Carden, Joshua L. Racz and Cassandra L. Racz; grandfather to Jennifer Butry; great grandfather of 8; brother of Donnie Carden and Johnny Carden; brother to William and David Thomas; and uncle to many. He was preceded in death by son, James, Jr., and daughter Carla. Jim began his service to his country by working in the Civilian Conservation Corp. and served in the Army during WWII. He was elected in 1961 as the American Legion State Commander of NV. He was Roadmaster of the Southern Pacific Railroad and retired as a Track Safety Inspector with the Federal Railroad Administration. Funeral Service to be held Tuesday, June 8, 2010, 11:00 a.m., with reception following, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (one block to the west of Holly Street), in Centennial, Colorado. Interment to be held Tuesday, June 8, 2010, 2:30 p.m., at Fort Logan National Cemetery ~ Pavilion ""B"", 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, in Denver, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are being suggested to the American Heart Association, 710 2nd Avenue, Suite 900, Seattle, Washington 98104; or the Disabled American Veterans, P. O.
