Jim passed away peacefully in his home on April 20, 2015. Jim was born and raised in East Denver where he attended Annunciation Grade School and Regis High School. He graduated high school early to enlist in the US Army. He served in World War II in 1944 and 1945 and continued his service in the Army Reserves in the Judge Advocate General Unit until his retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1979. When he returned from active duty he attended Regis College and received a degree in Accounting. He then graduated from the University of Denver Law School. He is survived by his wife, Helen, his children Lynn (Mark) George, Diane (Rick) Pursell, Jim (Casi) Doherty, Debbie (Ray) Wachsmuth, Nancy (Bill) Clark, Kathe Doherty, and Sharon Doherty and grandchildren, Becky Manke, Brandy Carnahan, Mark, Mike, Steve, Tony, Molly and Dave George; Jimmy and Erin Doherty; Chris Maurais, Dustin, Cody and Lore´ Wachsmuth; Christy, Bobby, and Jessie Clark; Brooke Threlkeld, Natasha, Nick, Connor, and Carissa Reetz, and 9 great-grandchildren.
